Silicon hacking

Since everything is shrinking down to nanoscale, we must move with the times. So, the Time has come to explore hidden secrets of silicon!

  • I'm looking for participants. No extra skill is needed, just basic knowledge about electronics circuits.

In the picture below, there is one of the standard logic cells. Try to guess which one is it. Red circles are inputs or outputs. Picture in background is polysilicon layer (Gates). Blue lines are from Metal 1 layer (this layer was removed by acid).

Hint: Vdd is line on the top and GND is line at the bottom. PMOS transistors are near Vdd, NMOS near GND. There are two double gate transistors(P and N). One of them (N) is in right bottom corner. NAND.png
